“The Ticket to Kyiv marketing plan could not be simpler: Enrage Putin, trigger Trump, and get Fox News to attack the film. Get Tucker Carlson, Russia Today, and Marjorie Taylor Greene to accuse me of wanting to start WWIII.
One hate tweet from Trump will make the film a success. What better way to start my Hollywood career?”

ESTIMATED NET EARNINGS
The greatest upside uncertainty with projecting gross revenues for Ticket to Kyiv is the amount and the effect of national leaders in Europe and North America praising and supporting the film. At this writing in Q1 2025, Donald Trump has “suspended” military aid to Ukraine, and in response, the European Union has approved a target of $840 BILLION (800 billion Euros) for additional aid to Ukraine. Meanwhile, Canada is considering whether or not to join the European Union.
The situation could not be more volatile. Yet opportunity could not be more present.
With this in mind, Ticket to Kyiv will likely earn substantially greater gross revenue than its two closest parallels, Booksmart, a comedy featuring young American female lead characters, and Portrait of a Lady on Fire, an emotional drama about two women in love set in 18th century France. In comparison to Booksmart, Lady Bird starred Saoirse Ronan, and was directed by pre-Barbie Greta Gerwig; it was considerably more star-studded than Booksmart.
On the high side, Ticket to Kyiv could earn one-tenth the gross revenues of another serious drama about a relatively obscure topic, Oppenheimer.
These are the projected gross revenues and net earnings for Ticket to Kyiv.
Total Budget: $915,010-1,964,590
Worldwide Gross: $10 million-$100 million
Estimated Net Earnings: $8 million to $99 million.
